LEND or BORROW?

 Lend or Borrow? 

We use borrow when we mean to get something from someone in the hope of returning it, while we use lend when we mean to give something out in the hope of taking it back. Take a look at the examples below: 

Can I borrow your pen?

Please lend me your pen. 

I will lend you some money if you’re ready to borrow up to the amount discussed.
