VERY EXHAUSTED or ABSOLUTELY EXHAUSTED?

 • I felt very exhausted after today’s work. ( non-standard)

✔️I felt completely /absolutely /utterly exhausted after today’s work. ( standard )

The intensifier 'very' isn’t used with exhausted in that ‘exhausted’ is an adjective with a ‘very extreme meaning’. Some other examples in this category include : stunning, fantastic, unique, etc ( when it means only its kind).
